Job Description
Rocket Mortgage is seeking a highly motivated and skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium to join our dynamic technology team in Detroit. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our proprietary software applications that are transforming the home lending industry. You will design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites, working closely with development and product teams to integrate testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and related frameworks.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects accurately and efficiently.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality assurance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving test automation best practices and standards.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work with development teams for resolution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Perform manual testing when necessary, especially for new features or complex scenarios.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance Automation.
- Proficiency in designing and developing automated tests using Selenium WebDriver.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java, Python, C#.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for database testing and data validation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
