Job Description
Embark on a rewarding career as a Public Utilities Meter Reader with CenterPoint Energy. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately read and record utility meter data (electric, gas, water) on assigned routes.
- Operate handheld electronic devices for data collection.
- Walk extensive routes daily, often covering diverse terrain and weather conditions.
- Identify and report any unusual meter conditions, hazards, or signs of tampering.
- Interact professionally with customers when necessary, answering basic questions or directing them to appropriate resources.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of routes completed and meters read.
- Work independently and manage time effectively to complete daily assignments.
