Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Clinic Receptionist to join our team at the Digby Area Health Centre. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for various public health clinics and services.
- Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and take messages accurately.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information.
- Process patient intake forms and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations (e.g., PHIA).
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and record keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Collaborate effectively with clinic staff and healthcare providers.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
