Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences for our pupils, ensuring a high standard of education aligned with the national curriculum. This role involves planning and delivering creative lessons, assessing pupil progress, and contributing to the overall vibrant life of the school. You will play a crucial role in nurturing young minds, inspiring curiosity, and supporting the holistic development of our children.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of pupils, providing constructive feedback.
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage pupil behavior effectively and promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development and welfare.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and curriculum initiatives.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, school trips, and other educational events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil records and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering a broad and balanced primary curriculum.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective pedagogical strategies.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and team-working abilities.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for learning in children.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
- Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching across different primary key stages (e.g., Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2).
- Specialism or a keen interest in a particular subject area (e.g., Maths, English, Science, Arts, PE).
- Evidence of continuous professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Experience mentoring or supporting trainee teachers.
