Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-time Poultry Farm Hand to join our team in Palmerston North. This role offers consistent day work hours and weekly pay, perfect for someone looking for stable part-time employment in the agricultural sector. As a Poultry Farm Hand, you will be crucial to the daily operations of our farm, ensuring the health and welfare of our flock. Full training will be provided, so while a passion for animal care is a plus, no prior experience is necessary. You will contribute to a supportive team environment and play a vital role in bringing quality poultry products to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily health and welfare checks on all poultry.
- Ensure birds have constant access to fresh food and water.
- Collect eggs carefully and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in coops and housing areas.
- Assist with general farm maintenance tasks as required.
- Follow strict biosecurity and health and safety protocols.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding bird health or farm infrastructure promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
