Job Description
Are you eager to launch a rewarding career in the skilled trades? Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup in the Crossroads Arts District, Kansas City, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Plumber’s Mate / Helper to join our growing team. This is an unparalleled opportunity to start your apprenticeship journey, even if you have no prior experience in plumbing. You will work alongside experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on knowledge and developing the essential skills needed to become a certified plumbing professional. We are committed to providing full training, mentorship, and a clear pathway to a successful career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Prepare work sites, including setting up equipment, tools, and materials.
- Learn to identify and use various plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform general clean-up of job sites and company vehicles.
- Help transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Observe and learn proper plumbing techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Eagerness and willingness to learn the plumbing trade.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bend, kneel, and climb.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
