Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapy Aide to join our team in Irving, TX. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in healthcare, with no prior experience required – full training will be provided. In this vital support role, you will assist our licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants by preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, and providing direct patient support under supervision. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and compassionate nature will contribute significantly to a positive patient experience and the efficient operation of our physical therapy department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
- Wipe down and sanitize physical therapy equipment, including exercise machines, treatment tables, and weights, after each use to maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist patients with exercises and transfers as directed by a licensed therapist, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and inform appropriate staff when reordering is necessary.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and maintaining patient records as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Follow all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor with patients and their families.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- No prior experience required; full on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.

Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (can be obtained after hire).
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
