Job Description
Are you passionate about electronics and eager to kickstart your career in the electrical industry? Ergon Energy is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in Cairns as a Paid Intern – Junior Electrical Technician. This entry-level internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and foundational knowledge in electrical systems, under the guidance of experienced professionals. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to help you develop essential skills and understand our operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior electrical technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Learn to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Support the preparation of work sites, including gathering tools, materials, and safety equipment.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate actively in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities.
- Document work performed and assist with reporting tasks as required.
