Job Description
As an Online Civic Engagement Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our digital campaigns and community outreach. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home. You will assist in managing our online presence, interacting with community members, and compiling valuable feedback to inform our strategies. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to make a difference and learn the ropes of online community building and advocacy. Full training will be provided to ensure your success, making this an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital advocacy, content management, and community relations within a supportive and mission-driven environment. You will work closely with our engagement team to execute initiatives that promote civic literacy and participation across various online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and engage with community comments and discussions across various social media platforms and online forums.
- Assist in drafting and scheduling social media content, email newsletters, and website updates related to civic engagement initiatives.
- Compile and organize data on online engagement metrics, community feedback, and public sentiment.
- Provide support for virtual events, webinars, and online workshops aimed at increasing civic participation.
- Research relevant civic topics, current events, and best practices in online community management.
- Respond to inquiries from community members in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the engagement team to develop new strategies for increasing online reach and impact.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and future plans.
