Job Description
Join Australia Post as a Part-time Morning Driver in Blacktown! We’re seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to help us deliver parcels and mail to our valued customers. This role involves operating a company vehicle to deliver items along designated routes, primarily during morning hours. If you have a strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and enjoy working independently, we encourage you to apply. Full training on our delivery systems and routes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver mail and parcels on assigned routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Australia Post safety regulations.
- Sort and load parcels and mail into the delivery vehicle efficiently.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery to residential and business addresses.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with recipients.
- Conduct pre-start and post-start vehicle checks and report any issues.
- Manage delivery manifest and use handheld scanning devices effectively.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car/C Class)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 20kg
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role
- Familiarity with the Blacktown and surrounding areas
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
