Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Weymouth, Dorset. This on-site internship offers an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to various stages of product development, production, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
- Support manufacturing processes by identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Participate in the assembly and testing of prototypes and finished products.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Contribute to problem-solving and root cause analysis for manufacturing issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
