Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marine Labourer to join our busy boat yard team in Cairns. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in the maritime industry, even without prior experience. You will be instrumental in supporting our skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth operation of our yard. Full training will be provided to help you develop a comprehensive understanding of boat yard processes and marine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist marine technicians and tradespeople with various tasks, including cleaning, sanding, and preparing vessels.
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of boat yard facilities and equipment.
- Move and position boats, equipment, and materials safely within the yard.
- Clean vessels, components, and work areas to maintain a professional and safe environment.
- Support painting, anti-fouling, and detailing processes.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures diligently.
- Report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
Required Skills
