Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Blacktown, NSW. This is an immediate start position crucial for the smooth operation of our supply chain. You will play a vital role in coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient communication across all stakeholders. This on-site role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service within the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics operations, including transport scheduling and route optimisation.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure seamless freight movement.
- Monitor shipments from origin to destination, providing real-time updates and resolving issues proactively.
- Process shipping documentation, invoices, and customs declarations accurately.
- Manage inventory levels and warehouse space in coordination with operational teams.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements in logistics processes.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of all logistics activities.
- Respond to inquiries and provide excellent customer service regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistics, transport, or supply chain coordination role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Problem-solving aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with logistics software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of Australian transport regulations and industry best practices.
