Job Description
We are seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our Darwin team as a Casual Loading Dock Hand. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for ongoing work with flexibility, playing a key role in the efficient movement of freight through our busy distribution centre. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the loading, unloading, and sorting of goods, ensuring all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. Full training will be provided, making this a great entry point into the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Sort and stage incoming and outgoing goods according to established procedures.
- Manual handling of various types of freight, some of which may be heavy.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment (training provided, where applicable).
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including maintaining a clean and organised dock area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform accurate scanning and documentation of freight as required.

- Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items repeatedly.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is an advantage, but not essential.
- Current Forklift (LF) Licence is highly regarded, but not a prerequisite.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry tasks.
