Job Description
Join Burnaby Greenscapes & Property Services as a crucial part of our Fall Seasonal Cleanup Crew! We are seeking dedicated and physically capable individuals to assist with leaf raking and general yard cleanup during the busy autumn months. This is a full-time, temporary position offering consistent work and weekly pay. If you enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and are ready to contribute to a clean and beautiful community, we encourage you to apply. No prior professional experience is required, as we provide on-the-job training for all tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently rake and gather leaves from lawns, flowerbeds, and other designated areas.
- Operate leaf blowers and other basic yard cleanup tools safely and effectively.
- Bag and dispose of leaves and other yard debris according to company procedures.
- Perform general yard cleanup tasks, including light pruning, debris removal, and tidying.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools are properly stored.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous outdoor work for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality for all scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions (rain, cold, etc.).
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License (asset but not required).
- Previous experience with basic landscaping tools (e.g., rakes, leaf blowers) is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Experience working in a team-oriented outdoor environment.
