Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Laundry & Linen Route Driver to join our team in El Paso, TX. This full-time position is responsible for the safe and efficient pickup and delivery of laundered linens, uniforms, and other facility service products to our commercial clients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring timely service. Enjoy the benefit of having your weekends off!
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle on a designated route to deliver and pick up products.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with commercial customers.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and manage inventory on the route.
- Load and unload laundry bags, carts, and other items, requiring regular lifting and physical exertion.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Resolve minor customer issues on-site and escalate complex problems to management.
- Ensure products are delivered and picked up in a timely and professional manner.
Required Skills
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving or route delivery experience.
- Familiarity with the El Paso, TX metropolitan area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a customer service role.
