Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Electrical Intern to join our Building Services team in Parramatta. This entry-level internship is perfect for students or recent graduates eager to kick-start their career in electrical engineering within the built environment. You will gain hands-on experience, supporting our experienced engineers on a variety of projects, from commercial buildings to residential developments. Full training will be provided, ensuring you develop foundational knowledge and practical skills in electrical system design and implementation for buildings. Key Responsibilities
- Assist electrical engineers with design tasks, calculations, and documentation for building projects.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Support in the preparation of reports, presentations, and project correspondence.
- Participate in site visits (as appropriate) to observe electrical installations and project progress.
- Conduct research on industry standards, codes, and new technologies related to building electrical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, hydraulic, and structural engineers.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn about electrical engineering in building services.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles (e.g., circuits, power, voltage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
