Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Investment Banker / Associate to join our dynamic team in Savannah, GA. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting senior bankers on various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity and debt financings, and corporate advisory assignments. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence for M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions.
- Develop complex financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), and accretion/dilution models.
- Prepare pitch books, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other marketing materials.
- Support transaction execution processes from origination to closing, including managing data rooms and coordinating with legal counsel.
- Research and analyze industry trends, market conditions, and client-specific situations.
- Assist in the training and mentorship of junior analysts.
- Interface with clients and senior management, maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA from a top-tier institution.
- CFA designation or progress towards it.
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, or Refinitiv Eikon.
- Prior experience in a global financial institution.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
