Job Description

Keysight Technologies is seeking an enthusiastic and driven IoT Engineering Intern to join our innovative Smart Devices team in Santa Rosa, CA. As an intern, you will play a supportive role in designing, developing, and testing next-generation smart devices and IoT solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with the design, development, and testing of IoT hardware and software prototypes.
  • Contribute to coding and debugging embedded firmware for various smart devices.
  • Participate in the assembly and testing of proof-of-concept IoT systems.
  • Collect and analyze data from IoT sensors and devices to support development and validation.
  • Document technical specifications, test procedures, and project progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and test engineers.
  • Research emerging IoT technologies, components, and industry standards.
  • Provide support for laboratory setup and maintenance activities.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits and components.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C, C++).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior academic project experience with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) or embedded systems.
  • Coursework or basic knowledge in data communication protocols (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee).
  • Experience with circuit design software (e.g., Eagle, KiCad, Altium).
  • Familiarity with basic test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
