Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Impact Investment Analyst to join our growing team in Karratha. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to investments that drive positive change while generating strong financial performance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in researching, evaluating, and monitoring impact investment opportunities across various sectors, with a particular focus on the unique economic and social landscape of the Pilbara region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial and impact due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Develop detailed financial models, projections, and valuation analyses.
- Research market trends, policy developments, and industry best practices in impact investing.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor the financial and impact performance of existing portfolio investments.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to track key performance indicators and ensure alignment with impact objectives.
- Support senior investment professionals in all aspects of the investment lifecycle, from origination to exit.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of our impact measurement and management frameworks.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct in-depth research and synthesize complex information.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainable finance and impact investing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or impact investing.
- CFA or other relevant professional certifications (or progress towards).
- Knowledge of the Western Australian economy and social landscape.
- Experience with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data analysis.
