Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU / Critical Care Nurse to join our intensive care unit in Broken Arrow, OK. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced nurses looking for a supportive environment and career growth. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, utilizing advanced nursing skills and critical thinking to manage complex medical conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ICU setting.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret EKG readings, and manage complex medical equipment.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, including vasoactive drips and sedatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Respond to emergencies and initiate life-saving measures as necessary.
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Current RN license in the state of Oklahoma (or eligibility for licensure by endorsement).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an RN in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Proficiency in critical care procedures and equipment (e.g., ventilators, arterial lines, central lines).
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic.
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment.
