Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HR Assistant Intern to join our dynamic Human Resources team in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. This internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals with little to no prior HR experience to gain hands-on exposure to recruitment and onboarding processes within a leading global professional services firm. You will support various HR functions, learn best practices, and contribute to creating an exceptional candidate and new hire experience. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal entry point for those looking to build a career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with candidate sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing induction materials and coordinating first-day activities.
- Maintain and update HR databases and recruitment tracking systems.
- Prepare and post job advertisements on various platforms.
- Respond to candidate inquiries and provide general administrative support to the HR team.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- A genuine interest in Human Resources and talent acquisition.
- No prior HR experience required; full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of Australian employment law principles (beneficial but not required).
