Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious High-Rise Window Washer Ground Helper to join our team. In this crucial support role, you will be responsible for managing equipment, maintaining ground-level safety, and assisting our experienced high-rise window washing technicians. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations and the safety of the entire team working at heights.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle rigging equipment, including ropes, pulleys, and safety lines, on the ground.
- Inspect all ground-level equipment and tools before and after use to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Manage ropes and supply lines, ensuring they are free of tangles and obstructions.
- Monitor weather conditions and communicate any potential hazards to the aerial team.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area around the base of the building.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with aerial technicians via two-way radio to coordinate movements and needs.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for construction or outdoor work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role or construction environment.
- Familiarity with rope access systems or rigging equipment.
- OSHA 10-hour certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
