Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Gym Manager to lead our Fitness First club in Belconnen. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of club operations, from membership sales and retention to staff management and facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated leader with a passion for fitness, exceptional customer service skills, and a proven track record in a management role within the health and fitness industry. You will be instrumental in fostering a vibrant community spirit and ensuring the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily club operations, ensuring high standards of facility cleanliness, safety, and member experience.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of fitness professionals, personal trainers, and customer service staff.
- Drive membership sales and retention strategies to achieve club revenue targets.
- Implement and manage effective marketing and promotional activities for the club.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management.
- Handle member inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
- Identify opportunities for club improvement and program development.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in the health and fitness industry.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Proven ability to achieve sales and operational targets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in gym management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Relevant fitness qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in Fitness).
