Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our dedicated landscaping team as a Grounds Maintenance Worker / Trainee Gardener. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about outdoor work, who is eager to learn and grow within the horticulture and resort management industry. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. You will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our resort’s gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces. This physically demanding role requires a commitment to quality and attention to detail, ensuring our resort remains a pristine paradise for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general groundskeeping duties including mowing, weeding, planting, pruning, and watering lawns and garden beds.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of all outdoor areas, pathways, and public spaces.
- Assist with the preparation and planting of seasonal flowers and ornamental plants.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Monitor plant health and report any signs of pests, diseases, or damage.
- Participate in special landscaping projects and initiatives as directed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

- Physical fitness and stamina for prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Valid Jamaican driver's license would be an asset.
- Previous experience in any outdoor labor role (e.g., farming, construction, sports grounds maintenance) is a plus, but not required.
