Job Description
Are you ready to make a tangible difference in your community? Clean Slate Environmental is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graffiti Removal Technician to join our growing team in Gaithersburg, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically active, and are committed to maintaining the aesthetic appeal of public and private spaces. No prior experience in graffiti removal is required, as we provide full, on-the-job training to ensure your success. You will be instrumental in restoring surfaces, enhancing community pride, and contributing to a cleaner environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently remove graffiti from various surfaces including walls, signs, and public infrastructure using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Operate and maintain specialized graffiti removal equipment and tools.
- Prepare surfaces for treatment and apply protective coatings post-removal when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Document completed work, including before-and-after photos and detailed reports.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting needs to supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and occasionally the public.
- Ensure all work sites are left clean and tidy upon completion.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical fitness, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to team success.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to learn and master new techniques and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in general labor, construction, or outdoor maintenance.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor equipment troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with local Gaithersburg and Montgomery County areas.
- OSHA 10 certification (not required, but a plus).
