Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse Pickers to join our team in Mississauga. This full-time position offers a secure career path with comprehensive benefits, contributing directly to the smooth operation of public services. As a Government Warehouse Picker, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring efficiency and precision in a dynamic warehouse environment. This role is essential to our operations, providing critical support for various government initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve items from warehouse inventory based on order forms and pick lists.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and ensure items are free from damage before packing.
- Efficiently package items to prevent damage during transit, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand order forms and shipping labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Experience operating a pallet jack or other material handling equipment.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and inventory tracking systems.
