Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio files accurately and efficiently into written text.
- Adhere to specific client guidelines, style guides, and formatting requirements.
- Meet given deadlines consistently for transcription projects.
- Thoroughly review and self-proofread transcripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall accuracy.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to enhance productivity and quality.
Required Skills
- Excellent English language proficiency, including impeccable grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 Words Per Minute).
- Strong listening skills with exceptional attention to detail, capable of discerning spoken words clearly.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal computer (desktop or laptop).
- Proficiency with standard word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with transcription software or platforms (e.g., Express Scribe, Transcription Magic).
- Familiarity with various accents, dialects, and subject-specific terminology.
- Prior experience in a specific domain such as medical, legal, academic, or market research transcription.
- Ability to accurately transcribe challenging audio quality, including background noise or multiple speakers.
