Job Description
We are seeking reliable and vigilant individuals for Film Set Location Security, specifically for overnight shifts, in the Astoria, Queens area. This role is crucial for protecting valuable equipment, preventing unauthorized access, and maintaining the integrity of film sets during non-production hours. You will work in a unique and often exciting environment, contributing directly to the success of diverse film and television projects. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated film set locations and surrounding areas during overnight hours.
- Monitor surveillance systems and access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Safeguard valuable production equipment, props, and set pieces from theft or damage.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and incident reports.
- Collaborate with production crew members and local law enforcement as needed.
- Enforce site rules and regulations to ensure a secure environment.
Required Skills
- Valid New York State Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain alert and focused during overnight shifts.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, particularly in event or film set environments.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of common security protocols and equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
