Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Fence Post Hole Digger to join our landscaping team in St. Louis, MO. This is a physically demanding role that involves manual and powered digging for fence post installation in various outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, and be committed to safety. Full training will be provided for entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the landscaping industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual and powered post-hole diggers to create holes of specified depth and diameter.
- Dig trenches and prepare ground for fence installations.
- Load and unload various materials, including fence posts, concrete, and tools.
- Assist with the placement and setting of fence posts.
- Help with other general labor tasks related to fence installation and landscaping projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Work collaboratively as an integral part of our landscaping team to complete projects efficiently.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy labor, including lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Reliable transportation to our central meeting point or specific job sites within the St. Louis metropolitan area.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A steadfast commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or other heavy labor roles.
- Familiarity with the safe operation of various hand and power tools.
- A basic understanding of site safety procedures and practices.
