Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and highly organized Federal Buildings Security Admin to join our team in Frederick, MD. This critical role involves managing security operations within federal government facilities, ensuring compliance with all protocols, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for personnel and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative and operational security tasks, requiring attention to detail and a strong commitment to security best practices. A comprehensive background check is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and access control points within federal buildings.
- Administer visitor access procedures, including badging and credential verification.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies according to established protocols.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of assigned areas to identify potential security risks.
- Ensure compliance with all federal security regulations and site-specific security plans.
- Provide administrative support to the security management team, including scheduling and record-keeping.
- Liaise with federal law enforcement agencies and building management as required.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new security personnel.
- Operate and maintain various security equipment and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security operations or administrative roles, preferably within government or federal facilities.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using security monitoring software and office productivity tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive federal background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience with federal security regulations (e.g., ICS, NIMS).
- Certifications in security management or related fields (e.g., CPP, PSP).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
