Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-time General Farm Hand to join our dedicated team on a day roster. This role is ideal for individuals eager to contribute to daily farm operations, learn new skills, and work in a collaborative outdoor environment. You will be involved in a variety of tasks across our grain and livestock divisions, assisting with general farm duties. Full training will be provided for those new to the agricultural sector, making this an excellent entry point into farming.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general crop maintenance, including weeding and irrigation checks.
- Support livestock feeding and watering routines.
- Participate in basic machinery operation and maintenance under supervision.
- Undertake general farm upkeep, including fencing repairs and property maintenance.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as planting and harvesting.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or operational issues to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and techniques.
- Valid Australian driver's license.
- Ability to work a flexible day roster, including some weekends during peak seasons.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a farm or rural setting (even casual or voluntary).
- Basic knowledge of agricultural machinery or willingness to undertake training.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
