Job Description
Join the Riverbend Equestrian Park team as a Weekend Event Assistant! This exciting part-time role supports the successful execution of our diverse weekend horse shows and events. You’ll be instrumental in creating a positive experience for competitors, vendors, and spectators, ensuring all events run smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about horses, events, and community engagement, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including signage, jump placement, and arena preparation.
- Greet and direct competitors, vendors, and spectators, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Support event registration and check-in processes.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas throughout the day.
- Distribute awards and ribbons during presentations.
- Act as a point of contact for general inquiries and minor issue resolution.
- Assist event staff with various tasks to ensure a seamless event experience.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Passion for horses and equestrian sports is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event support, customer service, or an equestrian setting.
- Familiarity with horse show operations or equestrian terminology.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
