Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Equestrian Center Event Assistant to join our team for weekend horse shows. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our events, providing support to participants, and maintaining the highest standards of presentation and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arena preparation, banner placement, and stall assignments.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to exhibitors, trainers, and spectators, answering questions and directing traffic.
- Monitor event areas for safety hazards and maintain cleanliness throughout the show grounds.
- Support event coordinators with administrative tasks, such as check-in procedures and results posting.
- Operate golf carts or utility vehicles to transport equipment or personnel as needed.
- Assist with crowd management and ensure adherence to facility rules and event protocols.
- Be a proactive team member, anticipating needs and offering support where required to ensure event success.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Comfortable working around horses and various livestock.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event support or customer service.
- Familiarity with equestrian sports or horse show operations.
- Basic first aid knowledge.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
