Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Drumstick Sanding Operative to join our dedicated team at Huron River Woodcraft. This is an entry-level, full-time position perfect for individuals who are eager to learn a skilled trade and contribute to the creation of high-quality musical instrument components. Full training will be provided to ensure you master the techniques and safety protocols required for this role. You will be responsible for the precise sanding and finishing of drumsticks, ensuring they meet our exacting quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sanding machinery and hand tools to smooth and finish wooden drumsticks according to specifications.
- Inspect finished drumsticks for defects, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall workshop efficiency.
- Assist with other production tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the team lead promptly.
