Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the automotive industry? Wippells Autos is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as a Casual Driveway Attendant. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone with no prior experience, as full training will be provided. As a Driveway Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for many of our valued customers, playing a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience. You will assist with vehicle movements, maintain the cleanliness of our showroom and service driveways, and support our sales and service teams. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
- Safely park and retrieve customer vehicles and dealership stock as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the dealership driveway, car park, and showroom areas.
- Assist sales and service staff with vehicle preparation, movements, and fuel top-ups.
- Ensure the efficient flow of traffic around the dealership premises.
- Perform basic visual checks on vehicles (e.g., tyre pressure, lights) when moving them.
- Support general dealership operations as needed by the team.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods.
- No prior automotive experience required – full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, hospitality).
- Familiarity with the Toowoomba area.
- Manual driver's license.
