Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dog Daycare Supervisor to join our team in Devonport. This casual role involves overseeing the daily operations of our daycare facility, ensuring the well-being and safety of all dogs, and managing a team of dedicated daycare attendants. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of dog daycare attendants, ensuring high standards of care and safety.
- Oversee daily dog playgroups, ensuring appropriate socialization and behavior management.
- Monitor dog health and behavior, promptly addressing any concerns and communicating with owners.
- Administer medication as required and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for all dogs.
- Handle customer inquiries, check-ins, and check-outs with professionalism and excellent service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the facility.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to dog handling and safety.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a dog daycare, kennel, or animal care setting.
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision skills.
- Strong understanding of dog behavior, body language, and group dynamics.
- Ability to manage multiple dogs safely and effectively in a group setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Current First Aid certification for animals (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 20kg and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Companion Animal Services or a related field.
- Experience with dog training or behavior modification techniques.
- Previous experience with kennel management software.
- Valid driver's license.
