Job Description
Are you eager to kickstart your career in logistics with a global leader? Toll Group in Shepparton is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Dispatch Runner to join our warehouse team. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are keen to learn and grow within the logistics industry. You will play a vital role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse and local dispatch routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and collections. Full training will be provided to help you excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform local pick-ups and deliveries of goods according to dispatch schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring proper handling of freight.
- Sort, scan, and prepare packages for dispatch or storage.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatches, deliveries, and collections.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, after receiving appropriate training.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg comfortably.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic communication skills.
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Shepparton local area.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations (not essential).
