Job Description
Coastal Eats Cafe is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Day Shift Waitstaff for casual work. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for customer service, a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to learn. You’ll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons during our busy day shifts, ensuring every customer has a memorable dining experience. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to hospitality or seeking flexible work.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and seat them appropriately
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently
- Clear and reset tables in a timely manner
- Handle cash and card payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus, but not essential
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (if serving alcohol)
- Food Handler’s Certificate
