Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Day Shift Courier for casual work in Newman, Western Australia. This role involves safely and efficiently delivering mail, parcels, and other items to residential and business customers throughout the Newman area. As a casual team member, you’ll enjoy flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to vital community services. Full training on our systems and routes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle for deliveries and collections.
- Efficiently sort and load mail and parcels into the vehicle.
- Deliver items to designated locations within specified timeframes.
- Obtain signatures and complete delivery documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car Class C or equivalent)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 20kg
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role (desirable but not essential)
- Familiarity with the Newman area
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery devices
