Job Description
Spirit Airlines is seeking highly skilled and motivated Commercial Airline Pilots to join our growing team as Captains or First Officers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate Spirit Airlines aircraft in accordance with all FAA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to strict flight schedules and operational plans, maintaining punctuality and minimizing delays.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring the aircraft is airworthy and all systems are functioning correctly.
- Perform in-flight duties, including navigation, communication, and systems monitoring.
- Collaborate effectively with the flight crew, cabin crew, and ground personnel to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with air traffic control and other relevant agencies.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.
- Complete all required paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Continuously maintain proficiency and stay current with all required certifications and training.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making, particularly in challenging or emergency situations.
Required Skills
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate for Captain; Commercial Pilot Certificate for First Officer (with ATP written complete).
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time (for First Officer consideration); significant PIC time and jet experience required for Captain consideration.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Valid passport with the unrestricted right to travel internationally.
- Proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience flying Airbus A320 family aircraft.
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace, or a related field.
- Experience with an airline or commercial operator.
- Multi-crew experience (MCC) and proven teamwork abilities.
