Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Cold Store Labourers to join our team in Sunshine West. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a critical part of our logistics operation, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of temperature-controlled goods. We provide all necessary thermal gear to keep you warm and comfortable in the cold storage environment, along with premium pay rates for your commitment. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided to the right candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This role is physically demanding and requires attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods within the cold storage facility
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cold store area
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely (training provided)
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and cold chain protocols
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required
- Perform other general labouring duties as directed
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cold environment (with provided thermal gear)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Commitment to safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehousing or logistics environment (not essential)
- Forklift license (LF) or pallet jack experience (beneficial, but not required)
- Basic understanding of cold chain logistics
