Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect with expertise in both AWS and Azure platforms to join our innovative team in Nashua, NH. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions that support critical defense and aerospace programs. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, providing architectural guidance, and driving the adoption of best practices in cloud computing. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams, operations, and security experts to ensure successful implementation and deployment of cloud services.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies.
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization without compromising performance or security.
- Participate in the planning and execution of cloud migration strategies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role with extensive hands-on experience in AWS and Azure.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, and compliance services (e.g., VPC, Security Groups, IAM, Azure AD, Azure Security Center).
- Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager).
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Professional certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) and/or Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premise infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and government regulations.
- Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading technical teams.
