Job Description
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Kainos, you will be a visionary leader responsible for defining and executing our global technology strategy. You will drive innovation, oversee the development of our technical solutions, and ensure our technology capabilities align with our strategic business objectives and client needs. This pivotal role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic foresight, and exceptional leadership skills to inspire and guide our global engineering teams. You will report directly to the CEO and be a key member of the executive leadership team, influencing product direction, architectural standards, and the overall technological future of Kainos.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate the company's long-term technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of technical leaders, architects, and engineers across global offices.
- Oversee the research and development of new technologies, ensuring Kainos remains at the forefront of digital innovation.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and security protocols across all product lines and services.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
- Manage technology budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
- Represent Kainos as a technology thought leader at industry events, conferences, and with key clients.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the engineering organisation.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, preferably within a global digital services or software company.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), modern software architecture, and development methodologies.
- Proven track record of defining and implementing successful technology strategies.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop large technical teams.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with agile and DevOps practices at scale.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Experience in the government, healthcare, or financial services sectors.
- Understanding of AI/Machine Learning, data analytics, and cybersecurity trends.
