Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Bulk Goods Handler to join our team in Warrnambool. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for ongoing, full-time work in the heavy industry sector. As a Bulk Goods Handler, you will be integral to the efficient movement and storage of various bulk commodities. This role involves operating a range of machinery, meticulous adherence to safety protocols, and contributing to the smooth flow of our operations. No prior experience is required, as full comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various bulk handling equipment, which may include forklifts, front-end loaders, and conveyor systems, under supervision and after training.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, trains, and potentially vessels, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently.
- Monitor equipment and product flow, identifying and reporting any issues or irregularities.
- Conduct routine pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures, policies, and industry regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including general housekeeping duties.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and record-keeping related to goods movement and inventory.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of performing manual labour and lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.
