Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and physically fit Boat Yard Hand to join our dynamic team. This entry-level full-time position is perfect for someone who loves the outdoors, isn’t afraid of hands-on work, and is keen to learn the ropes of the marine industry. You will be an integral part of our yard operations, assisting with the movement, cleaning, and general maintenance of various vessels. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in coastal work. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe launching, retrieving, and moving of boats within the yard and marina.
- Perform general cleaning and detailing of boats, including washing, scrubbing, and polishing.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as antifouling preparation, sanding, and minor repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the boat yard, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Support skilled tradespeople with various tasks as required.
- Operate yard equipment under supervision, following strict safety protocols.
- Assist customers with basic inquiries and provide friendly service.
