Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Asset Management Intern to join our dynamic team in Mount Gambier, SA. This internship offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about the property sector to gain hands-on experience in asset management within a leading diversified property group. You will support the asset management team in overseeing a diverse property portfolio, learning about the full property lifecycle, financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning. This is an entry-level position designed to provide comprehensive training and development, with no prior professional experience required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with data collection, validation, and analysis related to property performance, market trends, and financial metrics.
  • Support the preparation of detailed asset management reports, presentations, and financial models for various stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research on property trends, competitor activities, and valuations to inform strategic decisions.
  • Help maintain accurate property records, databases, and documentation.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and property site visits (where applicable) to gain practical insights.
  • Shadow senior asset managers to understand daily operations, challenges, and strategic approaches in property portfolio management.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A genuine and demonstrable keen interest in the property and real estate industry.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as an integral part of a high-performing team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Property, Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • A basic understanding of financial concepts and principles is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Previous experience with data entry or general administrative tasks would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite.
