Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organised APS5 Project Officer to join our team in Port Augusta. This role is crucial in supporting various projects and initiatives within our national agency, contributing to the efficient delivery of services and outcomes. You will be involved in project coordination, administrative support, stakeholder liaison, and contributing to reporting and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your project management skills within a dynamic federal government environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and project support to project managers and teams.
- Assist with the coordination of project activities, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
- Prepare and review project documentation, reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and facilitate communication.
- Maintain project schedules, risk registers, and other project management tools.
- Support the development and implementation of project plans and strategies.
- Contribute to research and analysis activities to inform project decisions.
- Manage records and information in accordance with departmental policies and government regulations.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in providing project administration or coordination support.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, business administration, or a related field.
