Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated 4th Year Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic team in Joondalup. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice nearing the completion of their trade qualification to gain invaluable hands-on experience across diverse projects. You will work closely with qualified electricians, assisting in all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, while consolidating your theoretical knowledge with practical application. A completion bonus will be provided upon successful attainment of your electrical trade certificate, demonstrating our commitment to your success and future with ElectriGroup WA.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components.
- Learn and apply safe work practices, adhering strictly to all WHS regulations and company safety policies.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installations.
- Conduct testing of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues under supervision, learning diagnostic techniques.
- Prepare and clean work sites, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Complete all required apprenticeship logbook entries and attend TAFE or RTO training as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled as a 4th Year Apprentice Electrician.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical principles and safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of Australian Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000).
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude towards learning.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR certificate.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Experience with various types of electrical installations (residential, commercial, industrial).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
