Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and academically strong Antitrust & Competition Policy Intern to join our Economics team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply economic principles to real-world antitrust issues and competition policy challenges within the financial services industry. The intern will support senior economists and legal professionals in research, data analysis, and the development of economic arguments relevant to competition policy, mergers, and regulatory matters. This role is designed for individuals eager to gain practical experience in industrial organization, microeconomics, and econometrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on economic theories and empirical studies related to antitrust and competition policy.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets using statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python).
- Support the preparation of economic reports, presentations, and memos by drafting sections, creating charts, and verifying data.
- Contribute to the development of economic models and analytical frameworks to assess market power, competitive effects, and potential remedies.
- Monitor and summarize relevant industry news, regulatory changes, and academic research in competition economics.
- Collaborate with internal legal and strategy teams to understand the implications of economic analysis in ongoing projects.

Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Economics, Applied Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong academic record with coursework in microeconomics, industrial organization, and econometrics.
